Today, the Internet is a public, cooperative, and self-sustaining facility accessible to hundreds of millions of people worldwide (Internet 1). Though The Internet has become the number one source for communication and information, it took its hit for providing unsavory information and influences on young adults. Governments around the world, claiming they want to protect children, thwart terrorists and silence racists and hate mongers, are rushing to eradicate freedom of expression on the Internet (Silencing The Net: The Threat to Freedom of Expression On-Line 1). Information is accessible to millions and millions of people all over the world in different languages. Its a way to express ones freedom of speech but does that mean its a creation of platform for unwanted information and destructive websites? Publishing making of bombs, suicide guides and child pornography on the Internet creates a great deal of negative impact on children and young adults. Its a step every individual should take against eradicating this information from the Internet and being responsible when using the Net. Government strict measures on the Internet laws and regulation should be enforced for the safety and security of the community. The Original motivation to create the Internet was an aid to the academic and research community. Today, theres no particular focus. Everyone and anyone can and does use the Net (Hahn 261).
